Diploma of Counselling
This CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling qualification will develop your skills and knowledge to take on the role of a counsellor who supports clients with personal and psychological issues within an established counselling framework. You will learn and develop your communication, micro counselling and interviewing skills and apply them using various counselling therapies, which will assist clients to reach their goals and meet their needs.
We deliver the CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling using a blended approach. This means that you will complete your study in your own time and also attend six workshops spread throughout the school year. These are held in Sydney and are open to all students who can travel to Sydney to experience training, interaction, practical application of skills and valuable input from your trainer who has experience in the counselling profession.
When you achieve CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling, you would endeavour to work in defined and supported counselling roles within established agencies rather than in an independent practice. There are 17 units in the CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling, including 13 core units and 4 elective units. These units are clustered into 4 sections and are listed below.
